Michael Ballack (born September 26, 1976 in Görlitz, then East Germany) is a German football player. He will play for Chelsea in the English Premier League from the start of the 2006-07 season.


Miroslav Klose (born Mirosław Klose on June 9, 1978 in Opole, Poland) is a striker for the national football team of Germany. He currently plays for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga. His mother Barbara was a member of the Polish national handball team (82 international matches), his father Józef Klose played football for Odra Opole and AJ Auxerre. The family moved first to France and then, in 1987, to Kusel in Germany.
Jürgen Klinsmann (born July 31, 1964) is a German football manager (coach) and former football player. He played as a striker and his blond hair and scoring ability earned him the nickname "Golden Bomber". Klinsmann's family operates a bakery in the Stuttgart suburb of Botnang and consequently he is sometimes affectionally referred to as the "baker's son from Botnang". Klinsmann is in fact a trained baker.


Bastian Schweinsteiger (born August 1, 1984 in Kolbermoor, Bavaria, Germany) is a professional footballer who currently plays midfield for Bayern Munich and Germany. Bastian's brother, Tobias, currently plays for VfB Lübeck.

Jens Lehmann (born November 10, 1969 in Essen) is a German football goalkeeper who currently plays for Arsenal.
Oliver Kahn (born 15 June 1969 in Karlsruhe, Germany) is a German football goalkeeper. He plays for the German national team (since 1995) and Bayern München (since 1994). He is known as King Kahn or Kahn, the Titan for his prowess in the game.
