Steven George Gerrard (born May 30, 1980) is an English football player with Liverpool F.C.. He is widely regarded as one of the best and the most complete midfield players in the world, and became the second youngest captain (after Didier Deschamps) ever to lift the European Cup when Liverpool won the competition in 2005.

David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English footballer who plays for Real Madrid and is captain of the English national team. He is also famed for his media attention, marriage to former Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham and marketing potential. Beckham is one of only four players to have appeared 100 times in the UEFA Champions League.



Sven-Göran Eriksson (born February 5, 1948) is a Swedish football manager. He is currently the manager of the English national football team. He will step down following the conclusion of the 2006 World Cup. On January 31 Eriksson was awarded the King's Medal (the second highest honour the king can bestow on a Swedish commoner) by Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf for his "valuable contributions - nationally and internationally - to the sport of football."
Michael James Owen (born December 14, 1979 in Chester, Cheshire) is an English football player, currently playing for Newcastle United. He has also played for Liverpool and Real Madrid. He plays as a striker, and is noted particularly for his speed, acceleration and clinical finishing. He has enjoyed a hugely successful and high-profile career at both club and international level and was the European Footballer of the Year in 2001.

Frank James Lampard, Jr., (born June 20, 1978) is an English football player currently at Chelsea and previously with West Ham United and Swansea City. Lampard is well known for the dynamic way he plays and for his powerful long-range scoring threat from midfield. He is also considered one of the best midfielders of his generation in world football.
Lampard was born in Romford, Havering, England. He is the son of Frank Lampard Sr., former England fullback and two-time FA Cup winner with West Ham United. His family are releated to another famous footballing family, the Redknapps. Both of the families have firm East End London roots.

Wayne Mark Rooney (born 24 October 1985 in Liverpool) is an English footballer, widely considered to be one of the leading young talents in world football - in September 2005 he was selected by his fellow professionals as the inaugural FIFPro World Young Player of the Year. He currently plays for Manchester United and the England national football team as a second striker, although the 2005-06 season has seen Rooney playing both centrally and on the left and right flanks. He wears the number 8 shirt for his club, vacated by Nicky Butt, and is generally given the number 9 for his country. He is well known for his potent shot and the way he intelligently operates behind the frontman as a withdrawn striker.

Rio Gavin Ferdinand (born November 7, 1978 in Peckham, London) is a Manchester United and an England international football player. He usually plays as a centre back, though he has played football in midfield for short spells.
